Amy Nuss

With over 10 years serving in church choir ministry, Amy Nuss brings a wealth of musical experience and passion to her role as Choir Director at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Her love of music and singing began at a young age, starting with singing in church and participating in plays outside of school.

That passion followed her throughout her school career as she performed in various choirs, ensembles, and solos. She furthered her education by earning her Bachelor of Music in Opera and Vocal Performance from California State University, Fullerton in 2017. It was also here that she received the NATS LA and Jane-Smith Rodriguez Scholarships. During her collegiate career, she had the immense pleasure of singing the title role in a German opera in Salzburg, Austria, as well as singing for notable artists and composers such as John Williams, Kathleen Battle, and Deborah Voigt. Before relocating to Idaho in 2024, she served at Emanuel Lutheran Church for 8 years and taught both music and general education in Orange County, California. She is now happily settled with her family in Nampa, Idaho, and teaches Reading, Writing and Choir classes in Caldwell School District. When Amy is not singing or teaching, she enjoys spending time at home with her husband and son or heading to the mountains for camping and fishing.
